The 30s Shanghai Style --Night

Ok I admit I got lazy with updating my blog recently and this post is weeks over-due. This is the night version of my previous post on 5/18. In contrary to how light and clean the day version is, I decided I want the night version rich and dark. Just love the colors!

So we took Merissa and Wayne to the theater. I'm stunned with the lighting and rich painting on the ceiling. You'll find I tried my best to preserve those colors in these images.

Okay so we went crazy at this point. You are probably asking what the other girl is doing here. The answer is we got bored photographing a man and a woman's romance and we had to make it difficult for them for our own entertainment.... Yes we photographers have twisted taste. LOL come on, it's kinda funny

So the story took a turn and Scarlet the beautiful singer, became friends with Marissa, and....

She developed an affair with Wayne! *gasp* (that was wrong!...we know...hey it's drama)

For those nights, Merissa was alone waiting for her man to come.....but her man was with the other woman (*sigh* I am an evil director!)

(What is it going to be, Wayne? Make up your mind!)

PS. this shooting is so fun. we started seriously about a vintage story but ended up making funny stuff up. Just for the laugh. I promise no one got hurt, physically or emotionally. Oh that much fun we had!

Love,

C.

Afternoon At the Park with Sophia

She is youthful, she is beautiful, she makes me think of my old days and shed jealous tears...(just kidding).

We spent a couple of hours in Legg Lake Park taking photos, trying to capture her glamorous side in a casual and fun way. She and her mom are adorable...they even brought snacks for everyone!

The 2pm sun was a little harsh at first but we worked with it to play with light and shadows. Hope you like them.

XOXO,

C.

Her first outfit is cute and airy. so we put her in the sun and ask her to dance...

Her second outfit is an exotic handkerchief dress. It's green and mix in perfectly with the reeds. So we took a couple of magazine style fashion shots!

Two head-shots with a little sexy twist. If she ever decides to do modeling in the future...which I think she totally should....head-shot is a must in a model's portfolio
